Everybody needs a hobby... Here's ours! Several years ago a customer brought us the saddest little Beetle you ever saw (Ringo Starr not withstanding). This little guy just broke our hearts. He was rusted where he shouldn't have been, and he was dented just about everywhere. Years of neglect and abuse simply oozed from every o-ring and seal.
Yet, his new owner believed there was still life in him. An indomitable something... Spirit, perhaps. Somehow this little car just seemed to want to go on. In spite of his pitiful condition he still motored up to our shop on his own, carrying his owner along.
How could we say no?
We pulled him in, started removing the bandages and set about restoring this game little automobile. Along the way we got hooked on these German marvels, and when you look at the Topless Bug for yourself, you'll see why.
